About Alap Scape
The way we relate to our surroundings is influenced by the sounds we hear. The role of an Alap Scape is to enhance the emotional experience of being in a space and to find the overarching mood created. Alap Scape is a contemporary composition based on the ancient knowledge of Indian aesthetics ( Rasa ) and Indian melodic modes ( Ragas ). Alap Scape makes use of various soundscapes, both the traditional Tambura of Indian classical music, rhythmic patterns, simple chords, and ambient drone scapes. Over these deep hypnotic layers, improvisations of classical Indian Ragas are performed, transporting the listener to a beautiful and meditative space.

'Form and Music' is the title of an exposition of world-renowned artist Amarnath Sehgal’s sculptures in Luxembourg. We felt an instant connection with his beautiful work that evokes such strong emotions and we could visualize the music spontaneously. We interpreted his work into music that evokes the different emotions, localities and spirits embedded in the sublime work of Amarnath Sehgal.
